Elizabeth Bishop House

I just got back from a writing retreat on my own at the Elizabeth Bishop House in Great Village. It was a wonder and I'll be months sorting out all the layers of it but before that I'll post this little photo safari I took in the house - my theme - old patterns in an old home. Enjoy!

Great old patterns! And I like the flooring laid over the wood so you can still see the old floor. Not sure why, but that really appeals to me. Funny how people don't seem to put patterns in very often anymore...

Hi Tartlette and Tabitha,
I think these patterns got into my vulnerable revising head and may show up in the next work! Who knows...

How interesting these pictures are! My favorite is the one of the white curtains.

Oh Helen, I like that one too. I've always had a facination with the edges of curtains - I have a shot I took hung and framed in my office - it is all yellowy billows with light coming through...

A writing retreat sound wonderful. That's what I need. It looks like you had a wonderful environment that stimulated your creativity.

These are great photos! I love the one of the floor tiles laid over the wood floor, too. And the one of the dresser. It looks like you were in a wonderful atmosphere.
