I am a feminist. I believe that as a feminist I should not be satisfied with the movement and say "ah yah, that's old hat - women are equal nowadays" until EVERY women has the opportunities that men have. It is like being a bodhisaatva. I don't want to be enlightened until everyone is. Why should I want to be awake with a few people while others suffer. Same thing to me.
the women that I have chosen photos of for this
post are family, friends, some acquaintances - but they all represent the power and beauty of women to me...

Normal, real, happy, sad,
women.
Thank goodness for that.
beautiful in the fullest sense of the word!
Great post, Jan! I am a feminist, too, and love the strong women in my life (and the men who are supportive of women being strong)--it is amazing to me though, that so many people are content when the disparities still have such a long way to go.
I love being a woman and being strong. I am a boxer, yes, a real boxer in a real boxing ring. Women's boxing is SO much fun!
