A few words on the weekend and some photos. We had a lot to do this weekend, the sweet patootie and me. He had his sailboat to work on, a roof rack for the truck to build (to carry the canoe) and a compost bin to make. I had my writing to work on, my garden and the essential compost bin making reminders to tend to! We had the kids too, a few days early because their mom was off to Washington. I drove her early on Saturday to the airport and then went on to the market without the step-dot (too early for her). I had a visit with a sick friend to make and an accupuncture appointment too.
our favourite fish and chip place is open near Peggy's Cove so we made a trip down on Sunday night, SP, step-dot and me. The lad was elsewhere...
on Saturday evening we had a Babe's gathering, this is Molly holding forth

the wonderful composter made of pallets - the boards in front are moveable and we'll add more as the pile grows. Also will make another bin attached but not quite yet!
We also wanted to keep our eyes and ears on Jackmo, the rooster. He seems alright and I here is a picture to show you! Doesn't he look like half a roo?

Your bee balm looks great. I can't seem to get mine to live as I appear to have a black thumb. Love the photos.

Oh, poor Jackmo can't shake his tail feathers for a while... Composter looks clever--I wish I could convince the hubby to do it-the city takes it and will sell it back to you once processed *rolls eyes* but I'd rather do it at home... trouble is, I'd rather HE do it at home and he doens't like to be told what to do any better than I do...

Tartlett - yes indeed - not sure he'll get them back - I sure hope so as they were breath-takingly beautiful. This compost bin was a cynch I think. Mind you the man builds houses so for him...it is just three pallets nailed together and then he made some kind of slot thing in the front so as the pile rises I can put more slats in. I LOVE IT!
