Fat Saturday: The last day of the Brewery Market

Today was the last Saturday of the Brewery Market as it has been. It has outgrown its space and the bulk of it is moving to the Pier where there will be LOADS of space but perhaps not so many nooks and crannies and kooks and grannies - we'll see. Some of the sellers are staying but most are going - some are going to manage stalls in both locations...at least for awhile.
The step-dot and I decided we had to go and we had to have Fanny's fab Chinese food sitting on the stairs cuz that ain't gonna happen. I took lots and lots of pics. Want to see them? I knew you did!
And do you want to know what we bought? Sure you do.
We bought blueberries and peaches and plums.
We bought hot italian sausages and darn hot pepperoni.
We bought beets and zukes and green onions and broccoli and green, purple and yellow beans.
We yacked and ate and walked and clicked and then we came home a little sad but willing to give the new place an honest chance to enchant us.

New beginnings are always nice, and it's sad to know the Brewery is changing from what it has been...still, you had a great day out, and bought lots of yum things..you made a great memory...

I love the vibrant photos. I am a creature of habit and find change very hard to handle sometimes. However, you have a great outlook on the new location of the market. I'm sure you'll find plenty of good "treasures."

So sad to have a tradition end. I like your true willingness to give the new place a change, but it is definitely a melancholy thing to have the old one go.

Looks like a fabulous place!

Fantastic photographs, and poignant write-up. It will live on in your memories.

Brenda - oh yah, I'm not really sad - the step-dot and I like the feel there but the new place has lots going for it including a living wall and a roof garden...
Chary - oh we will - we find the treasure of each other on market day...
Tartlett - yep, I like change but not always!
Natasha - I was telling sweet patootie the story of the palm dates while we sat at bone beach to have our picnic today. He liked it and I treasure you!

Awesome looking market. Hopefully the new one will be even better.

I love your quote regarding the market:' nooks and crannies and kooks and grannies!!" - can I use that for my blog, with reference to your blog, of course!!

Isn't the new market grand, though?
