Yesterday I met a blog pal in the flesh! It was tremendously exciting. Bren from Gardeningbren and I met up at the Saltscapes show. We'd talked about it last year but didn't do it. This year we made sure of it. Such fun. I liked her right away as I already did and nothing about her 'real' self made that different. We had tonnes to yack about but not much time. I could pick her brain for years on gardening and of course other topics arose. All in all - a good experience.
I have been thinking about those hats at the wedding and that reminded me that last summer I wore a hat to meet the Queen. Want to see me in it? Why yes you do!
Don't I look so smart? Except that hand there is of this rawther crazzoo woman who was next to Arlo (my 90 year old pal) and I. She wanted in on everything. She's the one who squeezed the Duke's hand to long and made him yell at her "Madame - let go of my hand!" . Tremendously exciting those royals are...
I borrowed this from Maureen who own's Elsie's Clothing. She was sweet to lend it to me. The necklace was my mother's - I love it -not sure what it is made of - some weird non-metal soft stuff and turquoisey stones. And the dress is one I don't wear much but love. I bought it years ago for a fancy party. It is very sleek.
Ah me. Back to the compost bin. It needs a good turning...
